NEWS: WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need everyone's help to pull this festival off. We are
looking for sponsors and donations to go towards legal fees, venues, and in
general, to putting on an amazing, truly independent film festival. We have no
political agenda, and the films we program are not based on anyone's personal

ANNOUNCING: We are moving the Traverse City Shorts Festival to another date,
in order to secure a better venue for screenings and to avoid any "confusion" as to
the difference between our little festival and Michael Moore's Traverse City Film
Festival. We only intend on screening quality films and introducing filmmakers to
the possibility of shooting future projects in our State, and hopefully in and around
the Traverse City area.

Filmmaker Opportunities:

In addition to the festival
screenings, the Traverse City
Shorts Festival will will be
running a seminar on "HOW
TO MAKE A SHORT
FILM & GET IT INTO
FESTIVALS" during the
festival. Taught by the
Director of the Beverly Hills
Shorts Festival & the Big
Easy International Film and
Music Festival, filmmakers
will gain insights into
shooting their films and
tricks at getting them into

ANNOUNCING: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
The Traverse City Shorts Festival is seeking volunteers to help us with this year's
festival. Basically, it is about working the Box Office and collecting Audience Award
ballots at the end of each screening. Volunteers usually, unless the screening is
sold out, get to watch the films... so this is a very casual and fun job. If you are

NEWS: VENUE & OPENING NIGHT PARTY LOCATIONS

We are happy to announce that we will be screening an amazing line-up of films at
the Park Place Hotel (300 East State Street)! Screenings will run Saturday,
September 17th - Sunday, September 18th.

And, on Friday, September 16th, at 8PM we will have an Opening Night Party at the
Right Brain Brewery (221 Garland Street)!
